The Levellers are, as far as I can think of, the only folk punk band that I remotely enjoy. They have more in common with Bruce Springsteen -- arena-ready, Spector-esque sound, big hooks, nuanced songwriting and emotionally charged politics -- than with Mutiny, Mischief Brew, or any of those other good-intentioned crusties that I can't fucking stand listening to.
Having had about fifteen years to mull it over, I'm pretty sure that Levellers is my all-time favorite album of theirs, but Levelling the Land might just take the crown. I can't make up my mind! Life can be so challenging, but what's important is that we never let obstacles such as these overcome us.

I only have leveling the land, which as you know is amazing for 90s. I think this band and dambuilders were on heavy rotation in my tape deck then. Excited to hear this.
