Previously on OPIUM HUM:
Bowery Electric - Lushlife (2000)
Sedate, airy shoegaze mantras for late-night, drug-addled auditory euphoria. Simple, sometimes single-chord chord progressions repeat
ad infinitum with very little variation, broken up only by angelic, cooing vocals.
Track listing:
1. Sounds in Motion
2. Next to Nothing
3. Long Way Down
4. Another Road
5. Over and Over
6. Deep Sky Objects
7. Slow Thrills
8. Out of Place
9. Drift Away
Across the sky
If you dig this, try:
Implodes - Black Earth (2011)
Astrobrite - All the Stars Will Fall (2012)
thanks.
ReplyDeleteany reason why track 2 is an m4a file where as the rest are mp3?? or shouldn't I look a gift horse in the mouth? :)
Didn't realize that. No particular reason, guess I downloaded it like that
DeleteSeems to be ok, just thought you may have done it to encourage people to purchase the album :)
DeleteOn that note, wish I could afford to buy everything I listen to, already spent 1000's, would need 100's of thousands to pay for all I enjoy :|
Anyway thanks again for the shares. I know how hard it is to run a blog (had one for a couple of years - aural-virus.blogspot.com if you go there it has the fated "We're Back" which never happened as I lost my password access due to a failed harddrive & stupidity).
It must be ESPECIALLY difficult to run a blog these days, besides people rarely thanking you & only taking, you have legal hassles of drm takedowns n crap. It's what killed off the initial buzz of blog sharing 7 or 8 years ago.
Anyway, enough waffle from me, take care. L8rs
thanks for sharing this, i found out this band thru a group of Boards of Canada, really awesome stuff
