Here it is: the notorious
Projekt Misanthropia in all of its bleak, terrifying, unlistenable glory. The album whose vocals were performed
in an abandoned chapel by seven abducted mental patients. Whose creators intended to aurally simulate -- through a cacophony of brittle static, rhythmless pounding, distorted keys, the occasional black metal section, and the aforementioned screaming -- the agony of life in a Nazi concentration camp. Listen once; never feel clean again.
I'm sorry
"Listen once; never feel clean again". So right. The same kind of feeling while listening to Mikko Aspa projects (Grunt, Clinic Of Torture etc.)
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work! I would be really psyched to see a post about Junko sometime!
V.
Yeah, sometime I actually feel bad about listening to Grunt.
Deletewoooowwww!!! Megafantastic!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have the digital version of "project terror" and i tried in any way to get in possession of the actual cd, and now i find another work.... i just hope is not the same record with a slightly diffrent title and slightly different cover art, since the description is practically the same... by the way this is one of the most incredible records of the history of extreme music, period!!!!!
can't stop thanking you!!!!

Different record. Very similar in sound, but I'm pretty sure this is the only one that actually involved abduction. Glad you like it!
DeleteThis is like SPK's Leichenschrei to the nth power. Stunning stuff.
ReplyDeleteThis is Merzbow raping the cast of "Freaks" with Survival Research Laboratories' equipment!
ReplyDeletePretty sure no one was abducted. One of the members of the band worked at a mental facility in Holland, and received permission to record within certain patients rooms. On the Projekt Misanthropia record, one of the band members was almost strangled to death by a patient and you can hear on the record: http://noisey.vice.com/en_au/blog/making-music-with-the-screams-of-mental-patients-rape-victims-and-kids
ReplyDeleteCorrection: Projeckt Terrror* stangulation. Woops
