DeleteSpeaking of awesome South American metal, been meaning to ask: have you heard Selbst? Their self-titled album from this year has been owning me since it came out. Discernibly black-metal, but with lots of changes and tempo shifts that don't sound contrived. And it's really, really MEAN. (Apologies if I posted something about this preciously in your comments section; I have zero connection to the band but have become a bit of an evangelist.)
