US atmospheric/depressive black metal. Droning riffs, simple drum patterns, and ghostly howls courtesy of Geoffrey Ficco, former vocalist for prog metal giants The Faceless, a band with whom, musically, Ys have nothing even remotely in common. Some definite Hvis Lysett Tar Oss vibes, though.
