First album by All Sides, a moniker of German artist Nina Kernicke which she has since changed to Allseits. Dedalus evokes vast, dark spaces with minimal bass-lines, throbbing rhythms, and amorphous guitars.

Mega. Elements of the short lived Space Black Metal sub-genre, to my ear, though broader in spectrum. The brooding atmosphere hovers just above menacing at times without really landing there. Thanks for the marvelous post.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really interesting take. Definitely when the distortion comes in, I can hear a hint of space black metal. I was gonna say something about shoegaze in my post, but it's colder than that.
