This is a fitness blog now, post all your favorite iron-pumping jams in the comments. Free/name your price via Bandcamp.

  1. Thank you!!! My brother mentioned yesterday that Bolt Thrower was what gets him pumped for working out. Today was "In Battle There Is No Law!" for my morning routine. -Britt

    1. Whoa. Excellent selections. Merauder and Helmet were already on my list. And I had definitely heard of Pro-Pain but I don't think I'd ever actually listened to them 'til today. INSTANT iron-pumping classic. Right up there with the best in terms of mid-workout motivation. So thank you!

  7. Thanks for this. Just worked out listening to Krisiun's Assassination. Another great one is Vader with Litany (especially Xeper). Cheers.

  8. Thanks for this one!
Aside from the tough guy hardcore and death metal, I also use melodic metal and hard rock.
Edwin Dare - Can't Break Me + the song Take You Stand from a different album
Shok Paris - Steel & Starlight
Icon - Night Of The Crime
Banshee - Take 'Em By Storm

  9. Just broke out two of my all-time favorite albums both in general and for lifting: Quicksand's Slip and Only Living Witness' Prone Mortal Form. Both bands' sophomore efforts are just as fitting, as well.

    1. great calls! don't think they would get me pumped up but great records indeed. Maybe, in that sort of lineage, Milligram would be more fitting for a work-out if you ask me.

    2. I'd go for some aggro rhythmic metal stuff: Ministry, Prong, Voivod in the Eric Forrest period, Sidilarsen (French blend of dance and metal, some great tunes on their earliest 3 albums)
