Tape loops, clattering percussion, droning synths, some propaganda-like spoken word, and a number of heavily warped instruments coalesce to form abstract, industrial-adjacent sounds that might be considered 'ambient' if they were at all relaxing.

ReplyDeleteThis is surprisingly soothing.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Soothing like aluminum foil!
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting, will give it a listen. I do have a request maybe you can fulfill: heard anything that sounds like a cross between black metal and Can, especially anything that potentially uses the atmosphere and guitar tone of black metal in Can-like organically-winding improvisational compositions?
ReplyDeleteSorry, wanted to add that to my request that I'm imagining black metal compositions that develop like Can compositions - an improvised being where it's constituent parts of rhythm, riffage, and noise move with and away from one another organically.
ReplyDeleteIF there's any black metal like that you know of, or anything close to it, I'm going to be very pleased. Thanks in advance!
That's a great question. Three bands come to mind: Aluk Todolo, Horseback, and Oranssi Pazuzu. Aluk Todolo is probably the closest to a black metal Can that I can think of, Oranssi Pazuzu kinda fits the bill, and Horseback probably doesn't but I'm already running out of ideas.
