Liturgy - Dawn of Ash (2004)

Ridiculously brutal US death metal. Liturgy were on the tech-y side of brutal death, and while it's far from original, their one and only release, Dawn of Ash, is one of the best of its kind. Please note: this is not the black metal band.

Track listing:
1. Shrine of Moria
2. Shrouded in Suffering
3. Scars of the Saints
4. Dawn of Ash
5. Worship Incise
6. The Bishop's Gathering
7. Wounds of Christ
8. Solemn
9. The Acolyte's Exoneration
10. Cognitive Lust of Mutilation [Disgorge cover]
11. Infested with Worms [Brodequin cover]

We are the enemy
Excommunicated messengers will come
The spirit alive as people put to death in the name of god

More brutality:

Disavowed - Perceptive Deception (2001)
Yattering - Genocide (2003)
