Cornelius - Sensuous (2006)
I'm gonna take it as a given that you've already heard and adore Fantasma, one of the best indie records of the 90s. With that out of the way, we can move on to the rest of Cornelius' discography, including Sensuous, on which he creates a colorful, relentlessly inventive and entertaining fusion of boogie, math rock, electro, space age bachelor pad chique, and prog. If you happen to be nearby Cornelius (real name: Keigo Oyamada) right now, tap him on the shoulder and ask him to please work on a new record -- this remains his newest one to date.

Hi, thanks for your blog which I occasion occasionally.
ReplyDeleteHere in Japan, Cornelius just released "Constellations of Music", which is a collection of collaborations with other artists. Although it's not a "real" Cornelius album, it's quite good. Please check it out.
I have a request, seeing as though you are moving on to Cornelius' catalogue, if you have the Sensurround DVD to upload that would be absolutely fantastic.
WOW, thanks for letting me know! Getting Constellations right now. I do not have the DVD but I'll try to find it.
DeleteStill have faith in the world. Hugs from Chile, thanks for this, is the most!
