Crimson Glory - Crimson Glory (1986)

Phenomenal US heavy metal. Dark-tinted, mostly mid-paced songs with a seemingly endless supply of killer dual-guitar leads, and as capable a metal vocalist as you're likely to find. 10/10.

Track listing:
1. Valhalla
2. Dragon Lady
3. Heart of Steel
4. Azrael
5. Mayday
6. Queen of the Masquerade
7. Angels of War
8. Lost Reflection

I hold the lion's mane
I come in crimson rain

  1. This is unironically one of the best albums you've posted here.

  2. Great album. This was one of my first Metal albums as a kid. Heard it on the BBC rock show. RIP Tommy Vance. I think when they came out there was a rumour that with each subsequent release they would unmask themselves a little more until you could see there faces properly. Not sure if they ever did this.

  3. First time caller, long time listener. Love this blog. You are schooling me on lots of 80s metal I've missed. Any chance of a re-up on this one?

  5. It's already great by the time you get to the last song, but that one and especially it's ending part lifts it all into something else beyond.
