Syrinx - Syrinx (1970)

Abstract synth adventures from Canadian synth-maestro John Mills-Cockell, with accompaniment from percussionist Alan Wells and saxophonist Doug Pringle. Relatively sparse but warm and instantly likable, with a composed but explorative spirit. The rip is a bit rough -- there's a fair amount of crackling and more than a few skips, especially on the B-side -- but it has been out of print for almost 50 years, so I'll take what I can get. Someone reissue it and I will pay up to $30 for a copy.

Track listing:
1. Melina's Torch
2. Journey Tree
3. Chant for Your Dragon King
4. Field Hymn
5. Hollywood Dream Trip
6. Father of Light
7. Appalosa - Pegasus
