Amir Baghiri & Mathias Grassow - True North (1998)

Previously on OPIUM HUM:
Mathias Grassow - At the Gates of Dawn (1986)
Amir Baghiri - Cages (1997)

Oh hey hi there everybody. I stepped away from internet nerdery for the holidays, then came down with this wretched, slow-burning flu that continues to ramp up the intensity every goddam day. But I figured, as long as I'm confined to my couch, I can at least share what I'm listening to on my way off of this mortal coil. Cavernous, shivering drones, nature sounds, and gently warped tribal percussion.

Track listing:
1. Jontunheimen
2. Finnmark
3. 66°33'
4. Old Man Walking
5. Really Trolls
6. Fjell Og Fjord
7. Polar Nights
8. Hardangervidda
9. Tussen
10. Man of Aran
11. At the Waterfall
12. Beginning

  5. Welcome back and recover quickly. Hearty thanks for all the great posts of 2018. And thanks for this spate of starters for 2019. Deploy the word "tribal" and I'll DL it, even if the cover art looks suspiciously like a black metal disc. Cheers, good fortune and good health to you this year.
