Palace of Worms - The Forgotten (2009)

Killer US black metal. Decidedly forward-thinking, but devoid of over-the-top dissonance or post-rock/shoegaze influences. Like, they're definitely not stuck in the past, but they're certainly not falling over themselves to prove what special snowflakes they are, either.
