Nadja - Truth Becomes Death (2005)

Gorgeously heavy, trance-inducing, shoegaze-y Canadian drone-doom. Towering waves of guitars and synths endlessly engulfing simple drum loops and barely there, murmured vocals. Probably my favorite Nadja record. Maybe Bodycage.

BTW if you, like me, kinda stopped checking in with Nadja after they started released an experimental record every two months or whatever, you might be interested to know that they started crushing it again -- for proof, check out their new, single-track album, Sv.

Track listing:
1. Bug/Golem
2. Memory Leak
3. Breakpoint

I have tasted the fire inside your mouth
I have burned under the touch of your tongue

  1. Thanks for the post. It's argued by some that the vast catalog of Nadja releases could have benefitted from more quality control. I've never had that issue but I've admittedly not heard everything they've released, either. Haven't found one I've disliked yet, and this continues that string.
