One of the finest pure black metal releases from France's mysterious Légions Noires, who I describe in the link above as "a French black metal/dark ambient horde who, during the mid-90s, released countless limited cassette demos through a seemingly endless number of incestuous, perplexingly named bands and projects." Ambre Zuèrkl Vuorhdrévarvtre is an enticingly incomprehensible, distorted mass of dissonant riffs, tape hiss, and muffled drums, over top of which high-pitched rasps echo, along with the occasional ripping solo.
