H.D.Q. - Hung, Drawn and Quartered (1985)

Darkly anthemic UK punk. Morbid, pissed-off sounds for a world on fire. Not to be confused with the other record I've posted on here called Hung Drawn + Quartered.

Track listing:
1. Ethiopia
2. Amalgamation
3. Suicide
4. Killer Love
5. Evilution
6. Genocide
7. Terrorist
8. Ethiopia II

Progress will destroy us

You should also listen to:
The Fits - You're Nothing,
You're Nowhere
(1982)
Icons of Filth -
Onward Christian Soldiers (1984)

  1. Hey! Just an FYFI—this band featured the late and much-missed Dickie Hammond, who later was a seminal part of the seminal UK band, Leatherface. I just found your blog (via a search for Mourning Noise) and I think you would definitely dig Leatherface. They're objectively worth checking out, regardless, but based on the little skimming I've just done on your blog, you're sure to find it a pretty boss time.

Leatherface were amazing; their initial run (which ended at The Last, followed by a 5-year-long hiatus ending in the late '90s) includes the album Mush, which is (okay, I've already used "seminal" twice) required listening for anyone who loves melodic punk rock (and/or anything in or near that general genre-vicinity).
