IASOS sent me -- many years -- some reworkings of his older songs re-worked and stretched out into full album releases. All are highly recommended. Before Steve Roach's Structures From Silence came out -- NDE survivors typically affirmed that IASOS' Angelic Music https://factofbeing.bandcamp.com/album/angelic-music was the closet thing to what music(sounds) they remembered hearing while "dead". Roach created his Structures From Silence to recreate the sound(music) he heard after his own NDE following a bad bike accident. That release put him on the ambient music map -- and it was my very first experience of ambient music. It changed me forever -- and now I create ambient music.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, I didn't know that about Structures from Silence (or about Angelic Music, for that matter.) SFS was also one of the first ambient records I ever heard, never knew that backstory. Very cool.
