Picchio dal Pozzo - Picchio dal Pozzo (1976)

Chilled-out, jazz-inflected, mostly instrumental Italian prog/psych enveloped in a warm haze of synthesizer. I implore you: if you've never heard this, be stoned when you put it on. It'll be a real good time.

Track listing:
1. Merta
2. Cocomelastico
3. Seppia
4. Bofonchia
5. Napier
6. La Floricultura di Tschincinnata
7. La Bolla

A huge evergrowing pulsating brain that rules from the center of the ultraworld

  1. It is like someone forced the members of Hatfield and the North to create a soundtrack for an italian Softporn movie. Not so symphonic like other italian prog-rock from that time, but a strong Canterbury Vibe.
Absolut fantastic stuff and highly, highly recommended. You don´t have to get stoned before listening - the music itself is trippy enough.
