Freeform - Heterarchy (1996)

Hella abstract, undanceable IDM. Sounds like someone dropped an acid techno record in a bathtub of salt water.

Cranky footnote: IDM was a wack name for a subgenre because a) most of it made for awful dance music and b) it implied that other forms of electronic music were UNintelligent. That being said, that's what stuff like this was called back in the day, so that's what it is.

Track listing:
1. Culk
2. Late Surface
3. Caniton Web
4. Abscence
5. Blot
6. Vent
7. Anti Zok
8. Sectors
9. Unres
10. Relocation
11. Namme
12. O

  1. Thanks for this one, it's awesome. If someone labeled this a long lost aphex twin album it'd be believable.

  2. OPIUM dude: The only guy in ethersphere that says MORE w/ less (words)...perfect description for one of my IDM (ouch) favs.

  5. Do you have anymore of his stuff by any chance? I've been getting a bit obsessed with him of late and am having a bit of a hard time tracking some of his other early records down! Thanks heaps for posting this but, it's pretty sweet!
