Gary Burton - The Time Machine (1966)

Previously on OPIUM HUM:
The Gary Burton Quintet with Eberhard Weber - Ring (1974)

Stellar post-bop led by vibraphonist Gary Burton. Evocative, late-night slow-burners, whimsical song fragments, calypso-flavored pieces, high-energy workouts, and one of the very few worthwhile Beatles covers. So stoked to have finally tracked this one down.

Track listing:
1. The Sunset Bell
2. Six-Nix, Quix, Flix
3. Interim I
4. Chega de Saudade
5. Childhood
6. Deluge
7. Norwegian Wood
8. Interim II
9. Falling Grace

Stay

  2. I can't blame anybody for losing yet another version of My Funny Valentine, but I'd still like to have the complete album... but thanks so far for this, I gave up trying to find this years ago...
