It's strange now to see this turn up. I never connected with this record when I had it. But I sure went over big time for Suzanne Lewis' and Bob Drake's next record as Hail (Turn of the Screw). Dark, lumbering psychedelia with some truly eccentric studio glamour. Bob Drake alone tends towards attention-deficit-disorder-if-the-Cardiacs-were-an-Americana-band nonsense, which I enjoy, but I appreciate how tempered he is on these records.
