Driving, hard-edged goth rock. An Endless Nightmare of Stations was this UK band's swansong, but it definitely doesn't sound like they were running out of steam -- it's energetic, muscular, punk, and even kinda fun, all while maintaining a 100% morbid goth aesthetic.
Anyone who has a better rip than 192, get at me.

Thanks for this one, it's pretty great.
ReplyDeleteENDG were an amazing band that i felt straddled the same tightrope of early new Model Army; part goth and part punk with a political edge. They deserve a boxset retrospective of all of their work as its aged brilliantly yet somehow remains overlooked by so many.
ReplyDeleteSorry, forgot to respond to your first comment. Agreed on all fronts. Definitely reminds me of mid-era Killing Joke too. This band definitely has a lot more appeal than is reflected in their numbers.
Deletei can do you a rip of this directly from the CD is you wanted a higher quality version? I've also got most of their back catalogue if you wanted it?
ReplyDeleteThat would be very much appreciated! The only rips I can find of any of their stuff max out at 192.
