A short-lived collaboration between Peter Murphy (Bauhaus) and Mick Karn (Japan). Fretless bass plays a central role on The Waking Hour, lending these abstracted new wave compositions a dark, jazzy undercurrent over which dance warped guitar, sax, synths, and (of course) Murphy's vocals, delivering cryptic messages to be deciphered by the stoned and depressed.
