Dark Angel - Time Does Not Heal (1991)

Monumental US thrash. A seemingly endless supply of tight, punishing riffs -- 246 to be precise -- arranged into some of the greatest thrash songs ever made. And while I'll concede that the vocals are a little yarl-y, if you let that ruin this album for you, you're playing yourself.

Track listing:
1. Time Does Not Heal
2. Pain's Invention, Madness
3. Act of Contrition
4. The New Priesthood
5. Psychosexuality
6. An Ancient Inherited Shame
7. Trauma and Catharsis
8. Sensory Deprivation
9. A Subtle Induction

It's always darkest before it goes
Completely black

You should also listen to:
Acrimony -
In Unknown Direction (1992)
Merciless -
Unbound (1994)

  1. Total masterpiece. Up there with the best metallica or slayer album. These guys should definitely be in the so called big 4. All of their albums are way better than the second stringers like testament or overkill who got way more attention.

    1. 100%. Should be one of the first thrash bands anyone hears

  2. who dat on the cover? feel like it's some actress I recognise from back in the day, but could just be somebody random doing a Lynchesque pose.

    1. I don't know, it always reminds me of Nightmare on Elm St. tho

  3. Still waiting for CAT SCAN's explanation on his nazi statement...

    1. Yup, probably just gonna delete it, couldn't find anything to support it and don't want to help perpetuate some bullshit

    2. This is my second favorite album (the first is Leave Scars) of this fucking great band. The vocals to me is pretty goodm, is not the best performance of Ron Rinehart, here is less brutal but is more versatile with tones. What don't like much is the performance of Gene Hoglan, is very good, but very repetitive in ocassions.

Whatever, an absolute masterpiece, very overlooked.

And can you upload the álbum Leave Scars please?, that would be great. Hopefully you can do that without any problems. Have a good day.
